Office space and furniture designer Steelcase has linked up with not-for-profit enterprise Green-Works, which provides schools, charities and community organisations with redundant office furniture.
Green-Works¡¯ zero landfill policy sees it take old furniture from offices and re-distribute it to others. Damaged or worn items can be remodelled or repaired at its in-house joinery, with remaining items distributed to art and drama projects for more innovative uses.

    Analysts at the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) believed that the voice on a tape, aired earlier Thursday by Arab television station Al Jazeera, was that of Osama bin Laden, an agency official said.

     The Beijing municipal government will for the first time invest more in construction in the suburban area than in the urban area this year, a senior official said on Monday.

 The German government on Monday called for a compromise between Russia and Ukraine in the gas dispute, but insisted that German would not take sides in the row.
